Jaya Prakash Narayan College of Engineering is the first Engineering College that was started in the entire Mahabubnagar District of Andhra Pradesh.
Jaya Prakash Narayan College of Engineering was established in the year 1997 by experienced Academicians and Industrialists. Presently Decennial Celebrations are held during the year 2007.

The Institute is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. ECE, IT and Mechanical are permanently (3 Year) affiliated.
The total Plinth area is around 2 Lac Sq. Ft. which is meeting the norms prescribed by AICTE.
JPNCE is located in a vast land area of 28 Acres, within a beautiful lush green environment surrounded by scenic mountains and is at an accessible distance from Hyderabad. The college is situated 8km from the Mahabubnagar and 100km (towards South-West) from Hyderabad on Hyderabad – Bangalore Highway. It is well connected by Road and Rail.

5 College buses and College owned 4-wheelers are provided for Transportation of Students and Staff from Mahabubnagar City to College and from Hyderabad to Mahabubnagar.
